PillTime is a personal medication-tracking and reminder tool. It is not a medical device under U.S. Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act §201(h). It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Information sources can be incomplete or wrong
The information PillTime shows about your medications — including drug names parsed from a bottle photo, dosage, frequency, indications, warnings, side effects, and interactions — is sourced from public databases (FDA, NIH, RxNorm) or generated by a third-party AI vision model. It is provided for general informational purposes only and may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong.
AI vision has limits
The AI label-reader can and does make mistakes, especially on curved, glossy, faded, partially obscured, or non-English labels. You are solely responsible for verifying every field — drug name, strength, frequency, schedule — against the printed label and your actual prescription before relying on it.
Reminders can fail
PillTime uses your device's local notification system. Delivery depends on your operating system, battery, do-not-disturb settings, and a dozen other factors outside our control. PillTime cannot guarantee that any reminder will fire, on time or at all. Do not use PillTime as your only safeguard against a missed dose, especially for time-critical medications.
What PillTime does NOT check
- Drug interactions. We do not cross-check the medications you save against each other.
- Allergies. We do not know your allergy history.
- Dose appropriateness. We do not verify whether a dose is right for your age, weight, kidney function, or other conditions.
Those are jobs for your pharmacist and physician. Always confirm every new medication with them, especially if you take 3 or more drugs.
Always follow your label and your prescriber
Always follow your prescription label and the instructions of your licensed healthcare provider. Never start, stop, or change a medication based on what PillTime tells you.
